At the 2018 NRA Annual Meeting in early May, Wilson Combat unveiled their new Vickers Elite Glock 19 and Glock 19 pistols. These custom pistols were created in cooperation with famed ex-Delta operator and Youtuber Larry Vickers. Both pistols represent Larry Vickers’ vision of how an “improved” service Glock should look and function. The customizations on these Glocks are mostly external, from the new slide with front and rear cocking serrations, laser-etched stipplings and Vickers Tactical logos on either side of the grip, Tango Down/VT mag release buttons, down to the stippled grip pads for the shooter’s thumbs. The sights have also been changed up to special Vickers Elite Battle Sights with a fiber optic front sight. The magazine’s base plates have been beefed up and emblazoned with logos, and the actions of these pistols have also been tuned up. Customers also have the option to have the recently-released Tango Down/VT Slide Racker.

A look at the Wilson Combat/Vickers Tactical customized Glock 19. Many of the upgrades appear to be external, but the actions for both the Glock 17 and 19 pistols have also been upgraded ( /blog/2018/05/29/wilson-combat-vickers-elite-gen-5-glock-19-and-glock-17-pistols/).

The customization process for each pistol is done under strict quality standards. Wilson Combat describes how stringent their quality controls are:

“The Wilson Combat – Vickers Elite Package for Gen 5 GLOCK® is built on brand new GLOCK® 19 or GLOCK® 17 9mm pistols and are thoroughly tested by our gunsmiths prior to shipment so your trigger pull, accuracy, and reliability are verified after customization. Limited sight and finish options are available to add to these packages.”

According to Larry Vickers in his presentation video, both pistols will initially be available fully-upgraded; later on, Glock enthusiasts will be able to have their existing Glock 17 or 19 Gen5 pistols sent over, then have them upgraded with the customization packages of their choice. The pistols have an MSRP of $1,350.
